How to find Gus in Brawl Stars: the entrance puzzle

Start the Find Gus event by opening the Mortis' Mortuary tab. To complete the entrance, build the shovel, solve the three named graves and use their shards to rebuild GUS's gravestone.

1. Build the shovel using the pieces around the tree, pumpkins and mailbox.
2. Open the side doors and smash the pumpkins for the hidden letters and the left-chest key.
3. Spell TOMAR, YOU and DYNAMIKE, then dig each grave for a shard.
4. Rebuild the fourth grave and spell GUS. Dig it for the key to the center door and claim the Chaos Drop.
5. Collect the four bonus Starr Drops before continuing to the room map.

This solves the entrance stage of #FindGus. The rooms beyond the center door unlock separately; see the Hallway unlock and walkthrough for what comes next.

1. Build your shovel

1. Move the bats out of the way by the left tree to reveal the handle.
2. Move the pumpkins to find the lantern.
3. Open the mailbox on the right to get the final shovel part.
4. Move the parts close together to assemble the shovel. Keep it handy — you'll use it throughout the puzzle.

2. Smash the side doors and claim 100 Coins

Use the shovel to smash open both the left and right doors. The left doorway reveals a K — remember it for later.

Next, smash the pumpkins with the shovel. You'll uncover a key and the letter N. Use that key on the chest behind the left door to collect 100 Coins.

3. Solve the graves: TOMAR, YOU, DYNAMIKE

Use the letters in the MORTIS MORTUARY sign above the building to spell each name, selecting the letters in order.

1. Spell TOMAR, then dig TOMAR's grave with the shovel. It reveals a shard; leave it there for now.
2. Spell YOU using the sign, then dig the YOU grave for another shard.
3. Spell DYNAMIKE, then dig DYNAMIKE's grave for the remaining shard. This name needs a few hidden letters:

The letter revealed by smashing the pumpkins.

Inside the left doorway you smashed open.

The EXIT sign above the right door. Look for the unlit E beside the glowing XIT.

4. Rebuild GUS's grave for a Chaos Drop

Move all the shards onto the fourth grave, on the far right, to form its gravestone. Now spell GUS:

• G: the second bat light — the one above and to the right of the front door.
• U and S: the MORTIS MORTUARY sign at the top.

Dig GUS's grave with the shovel to reveal a key. Use it to unlock the front door, then claim your Chaos Drop!

5. Don't miss the four bonus Starr Drops

Bonus #1: light up this sign pattern

On the two rows of the MORTIS MORTUARY sign, light up only these letters. Keep the other letters unlit:

M R T S
M O R T A Y

Match the pattern to reveal a Starr Drop.

Bonus #2: spell MONSTER

Select the letters in this order: M → O → N → S → T → E → R. Use M, O, S, T and R from the MORTIS MORTUARY sign, N from the smashed pumpkin, and the unlit E from the broken EXIT sign above the right door.

Then use the shovel on the left tree to reveal another Starr Drop.

Bonus #3: spell DYNAMIKE again

After completing the grave puzzle, spell DYNAMIKE a second time, then dig his grave again with the shovel to reveal Dynamike and another Starr Drop. Use the same DYNAMIKE letter locations as before: D from the moon, Y, A, M and I from the MORTIS MORTUARY sign, N from the smashed pumpkin, K from the left doorway, and the unlit E from the EXIT sign.

Bonus #4: bring Mortis to the window

1. Spell MORTIS using the letters in the MORTIS MORTUARY sign.
2. Tap the left window once to knock on the glass. This is the window above the left doorway.
3. Repeatedly tap Mortis' hat and the right window, above the EXIT doorway, until Mortis appears in the window.
4. Claim the Starr Drop that appears beside him.
